As part of our creative curriculum topic about the Greeks, we spent time preparing all of our research so we could present it to parents at an open afternoon. We looked at a wide range of topics such as how women and men were treated, ancient Greek myths, how the Olympics developed, the main influential figures and also how the Greeks were the first to understand our world is round!

Each group was picked out of a hat, as was their topic focus. They then had to gather all the information children had found and think of a suitable way to present it to parents and friends. The children had great determination to make sure their presentations were a high standard, and worked fantastically well as part of a team of children they wouldn’t normally work with. Every child showed great speaking and listening skills, carefully considering the ideas of other children in the group.
