Dear
Parents
Coop
Share Number
The
school has a Coop share number
101300. This is to support
fund raising. We would be very
grateful if, occasionally when shopping, you are able to use the school
number instead of yours.
Arrival at/Departure from school
I
would like to remind you that children who arrive at school before 8.30am
and who leave after 3.30pm (unless taking part in a school activity) are not
supervised as they are during the rest of the day.
Staff may be in school, but are preparing and planning lessons.
Should an accident occur there may be someone to help but it is not
guaranteed.
Uniform
As
summer approaches, with the drier, warmer weather, we allow girls the
opportunity to wear red, checked dresses and all of the children the
opportunity to wear shorts instead of long trousers.
The shorts should be plain black, above knee length. (Not cycling
shorts.) Hats/caps may be appropriate on particularly sunny days.
Please ensure that as much clothing as possible has your child’s name
in. We have a large amount of
clothing that cannot be returned to pupils.
Water
We
continue to encourage children to drink plenty of water during the day to
keep hydrated. Small bottles
are allowed in the classroom for use as appropriate.
Swimming
Swimming has commenced this week.
A reminder that girls should wear one-piece costumes and boys bathers
of above knee length. Swimming
caps will be available to buy for £1.00 from Mrs Halliday.
School Athletics Sports
We
hope to hold our School Athletics Sports at the School Field on Thursday 26
May (weather permitting!).
Photographer
The
photographer will be in school on the morning of Tuesday 7 June to take
class and team school photographs.
Children should be in school uniform
including white polo shirts.
Prayer Meetings
Parents, Carers and pre-school children are all welcome to attend informal
monthly meetings to support the general school needs of pupils, teachers and
parents in prayer.
If you have an enquiry or prayer request, please phone Becky Hall on 246230.
Staffing
We welcome back Mrs Watchman from Maternity Leave. She will replace Miss
Warren who will be taking up a new post at Melrose after halfterm
